Every year, between October 1st to October 31st, Richmond Country Farms host the popular seasonal attraction, The Pumpkin Patch. This event attracts kids of all ages. What sets Richmond Country Farms apart from any other farms in the Metro Vancouver area is having both the tractor hay ride and a train ride in one location. Needless to say, that in itself is a huge bonus for little train lovers aside from the pumpkin patch itself. Richmond Country Farms is divided into 4 large areas, the front area before the tractor hay ride, the market, the winery, and the huge farm area where the tractor ride takes us.

Richmond Country Farms Hour of Operation
The Pumpkin Patch at Richmond Country Farms only happens between October 1st to October 31st, 2022
Weekdays: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Weekends: 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Guests can stay until 6:00 PM

Richmond Country Farms Entrance
After purchasing the ticket to enter, we cross a small bridge to enter a central area where there is a large pagoda for guests to sit. There is also a stage for a live music band. This time of year, you can also find many food trucks in this area. The train ride ticket can be purchased here.

Richmond Country Farms Train Ride
The train rides are free during weekdays and cost $4 per adult on weekends. During the Halloween season, there are displays that are not too scary for little children. It is a family-friendly train ride.
During the train ride, you will see a lot of animals. These animals are actually Hollywood stars who have been in Game of Thrones and other TV shows.

Richmond Country Farms Tractor Ride
The tractor ride is the main reason why we come to this farm. There are multiple tractors taking turns to take guests to the main farm area to reduce the wait time. I have seen as many as 4 tractor rides at once and never had to wait. On the tractor ride, there is always staff on board with a guitar singing children’s songs for the guests. Kids really get involved and joy the tractor ride.

Richmond Country Farm The Pumpkin Patch
The tractor ride stops at the back of the farm, which has really been developing over the years. Inside there are multiple pumpkin patches, flower fields, a corn maze, and real tractors for kids to climb. The farm area is huge and takes a long time to explore.

Richmond Country Farms Market
The farm produce market sells produce from the farm, and much of them are organic. The corns, potatoes, and broccoli are especially good this time of year. The market does not require a ticket to enter. It is worth noting that you cannot park at the market if you are going to the pumpkin patch. Also, it is one-way vehicular traffic in front of the market but there are no signs, so it can be a bit confusing.
