Hi there, kiddos! It’s Big Sis Aris! Today we’re answering a super yummy question — why do we eat turkey on Thanksgiving?

Have you guys ever smelled something delicious coming from the oven? Imagine a big, golden-brown turkey turning slowly inside ! — like the superstar of the Thanksgiving party!

You know what? A long time ago, people used to catch wild turkeys to celebrate their harvest. Turkeys were big enough to feed the whole family, so everyone could eat together and feel full and happy! It was like one giant sharing meal — warm, cozy, and full of love.

And here’s a fun little secret — turkeys actually look pretty festive too! When they spread their tails, it’s like they’re wearing fluffy skirts, and their gobble gobble sounds almost like they’re saying “Thanks~ Thanks~!” Isn’t that just perfect for Thanksgiving?

Preparing a turkey dinner is also a big family mission! Grandpa and Grandma bring out their secret recipe, Mom and Dad season it with care, and everyone gathers around the table waiting for that ding! — the moment the turkey is ready and the house smells amazing!

If Thanksgiving didn’t have turkey, it would be like a birthday without cake — something would just be missing, right? The turkey is a special symbol of this holiday, reminding us to be thankful and to enjoy time with our family.
