Hi there, kiddos! It’s Big Sis Aris! Today we’re answering a super heartwarming question: Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving? Why do we celebrate Thanksgiving?
Have you guys ever wanted to say thank you to someone who helped you? Picture this: Thanksgiving is like a magical box filled with gratitude that goes whoosh and turns all the thank-yous in our hearts into warm, cozy smiles!
You know what? Thanksgiving originally started as a way to thank Mother Nature for giving us yummy food! Just like how farmer uncles grow golden pumpkins and farmer aunties grow plump corn, so we can munch munch enjoy delicious dinners together!
Here’s a little secret—the best part about Thanksgiving is remembering all the wonderful people who love us! Like thanking Mommy for packing our lunch every day, thanking our teachers for patiently helping us learn to write, and thanking our friends for playing with us. These are the most precious gifts of all!
And you know what else? Thanksgiving is such a cozy family time! Everyone gathers around the dinner table to share tasty roasted turkey and pumpkin pie, talking about the happiest moments from this year. It feels just like lighting lots of tiny candles in our hearts—so warm and bright!
What if we never said thank you? Would the people who help us feel a little sad? If you gave your best friend a present and they didn’t say thanks, wouldn’t you feel just a tiny bit disappointed?
So celebrating Thanksgiving is like putting a special “gratitude radar” in our hearts, helping us spot all the beautiful things in our everyday lives!
Remember, kiddos—this Thanksgiving you can help Mommy set the table, draw a thank-you card for Daddy, and give Grandma and Grandpa the biggest hugs ever! If you think of someone special you want to thank, come tell Big Sis Aris about it. Let’s be the happiest, most grateful little stars together!
