Hi there, kiddos! It’s Big Sis Aris! Today we’re talking about something super heartwarming — why do we give thanks for the harvest?

Have you guys ever eaten a bowl of yummy rice or sweet, juicy fruit? Imagine this — every grain of rice and every piece of fruit grew because farmers took care of them like tiny babies! They watered them every day, pulled out weeds, and watched them grow little by little.

You know what? Every single grain of rice takes a lot of teamwork! Farmers plant and harvest under the warm sun, truck drivers deliver the food, and grocery workers carefully set it out for us to buy. It’s like a big, exciting relay race — and we get to enjoy the delicious finish line!

Here’s a secret — when we give thanks for the harvest, we’re also thanking nature’s magic! The sunshine is like a cozy blanket that helps vegetables grow, the rain is like a clear drink that makes fruits sweet, and the soft soil is like a comfy bed where seeds can sprout. Nature gives us so many wonderful gifts!

And guess what? When we say thank you for the harvest, our hearts feel warm and happy inside! Just like when you draw a beautiful picture and someone says, “Wow, that’s amazing!” — doesn’t that make you smile? Farmers feel that same joy when we appreciate their hard work.

If no one said thanks for the harvest, don’t you think the farmers might feel a little sad? It’s just like when you help clean up at home but nobody says thank you — that would feel disappointing, right?

So giving thanks for the harvest is like turning on a happiness switch in our hearts — it helps us learn to be grateful and to share joy with others!

Remember, kiddos — next time before you eat, you can put your hands together and say “thank you,” finish everything in your bowl, and maybe even make a thank-you card for the farmers!
