The Pumpkin Patch at Richmond Country Farms

Every year, between October 1st to October 31st, Richmond Country Farms host the popular seasonal attraction, The Pumpkin Patch. This event attracts kids of all ages. What sets Richmond Country Farms apart from any other farms in the Metro Vancouver area is having both the tractor hay ride and a train ride in one location. Needless to say, that in itself is a huge bonus for little train lovers aside from the pumpkin patch itself. Richmond Country Farms is divided into 4 large areas, the front area before the tractor hay ride, the market, the winery, and the huge farm area where the tractor ride takes us.

Springer Park Playground Burnaby

Springer Park Playground is a little secluded playground hidden deep in Springer Park. It has a climbing-focused playset to challenge the upper body strength of older kids and a toddler playset for kids who just want to stick to what feels comfortable. Although it is not part of the playground, the community rock garden is what sets this park different from all the others.

Brentwood Park Playground – Burnaby

Brentwood Park’s playground has a lot of amenities. Brentwood Park Elementary is to the South East and two tennis courts are to the South West of the park. The playground is located near the North West corner of the park which abuts quiet streets. This playground contains a playset, a wood stump climber, a swing set, a seesaw, a spinner climber, a sandbox, and a wading pool. There are also lots of benches and one covered picnic table.

George McLean Park Playground – Burnaby

George McLean Park’s playground is located on PattersonAvenue, crossing Bond Street in Burnaby. It doesn’t have a lot of amenities, but they all have good quality. The playground is located in the center of the park which is far from the streets on all sides and contains 1 medium-sized slide on rubber hilled-ground, 1 large swing on wood chips, and 1 large sandbox with water. There are lots of benches and tables around for adults.

Forest Glen Park Playground – Burnaby

Forest Glen Park has one of my favorite playgrounds to go to in Burnaby. This playground has many amenities to facilitate the growth of kids in different age groups. The equipment has been recently updated, so everything is brand new in this playground. There is a huge grass area to host many activities for children and adults alike. The slopes that go down from the street make this park safer for sledding during winter. Forest Glen Park also has a wading pool for kids to cool off during summer.
